It's Still Rock N' Roll To Me
I had a great time taking my mom to the show. The tickets were purchased pre-covid for my birthday, the original date for the show, and it was well worth the wait! The stadium was relatively easy to navigate, although the lines for shirts were crazy. It appears that for such a large space, additional setups would have been more effective. The cost of water was outrageous, but not surprising. I only bought 2 waters for over $10.
On the lawn, we were not directly on the grass, which I loved. The hard plastic flooring that was laid out was a relief. I assumed we would get muddy due to predicted rain (which never came). The chairs were small and zip-tied together (presumably for safety), but it seems like having one less chair in each row would have provided more breathing room. Even though I am not large, nor is my mother, the person next to me was smaller, and we still felt squished together. Lawn tickets were enjoyable, but the tight fit was a challenge.
The bathrooms were clean and quick to access, which was a plus. Parking, on the other hand, was a nightmare. There were multiple entrances, but only one was usable. We were advised to pre-purchase parking, so we did, in one of the recommended lots. However, upon arrival, we were unable to enter that lot. Every entrance was blocked by cones or buses. We were redirected to another lot, even though we had paid for the initial one. It took a long time to find the correct entrance because every entry was blocked off. Eventually, we found the right entrance but were scolded for not going to the lot we paid for. We explained the situation, and they made us pay a second time to park in the new lot.
After the show, buses took us back to our car, which was a nice touch. The sound quality was fantastic, as was the stage setup. Overall, everyone appeared to have a good time, and it was a pleasant experience.
